51爆料 was selected by the as a nominee for the Robert R. Church Achievement Award in the category of Corporation of the Year. 

The prestigious award goes to organizations in the Memphis community that exemplify commitment to achieving economic development in minority and women-based businesses through DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). Award winners were presented on Nov. 16, 2022 at the Holiday Inn 鈥� University of Memphis.

Southwest shared the spotlight for this category with fellow nominees - ALSAC, FedEx Services, Memphis Light, Gas and Water, Memphis-Shelby County Schools, Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority, Nike, Regional One Health and Tennessee Valley Authority. Congratulations goes to the College鈥檚 longtime institutional partner, Memphis-Shelby County Schools.

As the community鈥檚 college and leading driver of workforce development for the Mid-South, Southwest proactively engages and collaborates with business partners that share the college鈥檚 mission to uplift local communities and diversify the workforce. The college鈥檚 partnerships with the (TSBDC) and , are two examples of how the college is helping to sustain minority entrepreneurs, and train and upskill residents in and around the Memphis Medical District.
